The Union County Sheriff’s Office purchased body-worn cameras in 2016 with a $8,145 grant through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety. The Union County Sheriff's Office also received a Small, Rural, and Tribal Body-Worn Camera Program grant for $4,000 for 10 body-worn cameras in 2023.
