The Burke County Sheriff's Office has used body-worn cameras since at least 2017, funded by a U.S. Department of Justice grant. The Burke County Sheriff's Office also received a Small, Rural, and Tribal Body-Worn Camera Program grant for $75,000 for 75 body-worn cameras in 2023.
