The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation shares access to its photo repository via the Pennsylvania Justice Network, which is open “to any municipal, county, state or federal law enforcement agency” in the state. A variety of federal agencies also have access, including FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.

Face recognition is a method of identifying or verifying the identity of an individual using their face. Face recognition systems can be used to identify people in photos, video, or in real-time. Law enforcement may also use mobile face recognition devices to identify people during police stops.
