The Keene Police Department received $100,000 from the Bureau of Justice Assistance to purchase 50 body-worn cameras through the 2022 Small, Rural, Tribal BWC Microgrant program. The agency received an additional $47,500 from the New Hampshire Department of Public Safety's state body-worn camera and dashboard camera fund in 2022.

More about this technology

Many law enforcement agencies require officers to attach body-worn cameras to their chests or shoulders to capture interactions with suspects and the public. Some cameras stream live and can be combined with face recognition technology.
